(Opening Fall 2016) - The Joseph Newman Innovation Center, better known as The NIC, announced a partnership with Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, to use a federal grant to purchase and renovate an existing 51,000-square-foot warehouse to create the Advanced Training and Technology Center (ATTC) in Joplin. If you have an innovative idea and want to start a new business, professional office space can be leased for as little as $200 a month in the Joseph Newman Innovation Center. Several office configurations are available. Amenities include access to two professional conference rooms, break room and high speed internet. Utilities are included in the lease. No long-term lease agreements required. Tenants have access to professional business assistance and mentoring.
Entrepreneurs often need help when developing a business idea. Innovation Center staff, the SBTDC and a network of 10 certified innovation centers across Missouri can assist in evaluating a business idea and provide direction and support. In many cases, assistance is free of charge. The Missouri Department of Economic Development and the Missouri Technology Corporation can provide enterprise-level assistance for existing businesses and companies interested in relocating their operations into Missouri.
