(Fall 2016) – The Advanced Training and Technology Center (ATTC) is a project of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce  Foundation, Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri, and the Workforce Investment Board (WIB). Using HUD CDBG-DR disaster recovery funds, the grant will provide money to purchase and renovate an existing 51,000-square-foot warehouse located across the street from the Chamber office and provide equipment used to train a workforce in advanced welding and advanced manufacturing. The Joseph Newman Innovation Center will expand its existing services into the new ATTC facility and offer nine to 12 new office suites. Along with the existing 14 suites currently in use, the Innovation Center will provide 26 offices available for lease. When the facility opens in fall 2016, the Innovation Center will provide office space and outreach to businesses that are currently working on innovative products.
